Town of Leesburg, VA Zoning Ordinance Rewrite Project
The Town of Leesburg, VA plans to rewrite its zoning ordinance for better alignment with the policies set by the Legacy Leesburg Town Plan adopted in March 2022. The rewrite will bring the ordinance into compliance with the state enabling legislation and modern zoning practices. It will also streamline land development processes and incorporate a user-friendly, interactive online zoning platform.
The Town has engaged a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Kendig Keast Collaborative, Roth Jackson Gibbons Condlin, PLC, WSP, White and Smith, LLC, and Madden Planning Urban Planning and Design. Roth Jackson will act as the local legal liaison. Members of Roth Jackson’s commercial real estate and land use team will contribute experience with urban and suburban development/redevelopment as well as historic preservation. Both of these aspects are particularly important to the Town’s rewrite effort. Attorney Ashley Kyle will oversee Roth Jackson’s role by applying this experience to the rewrite process and by performing Virginia-specific legal review.
